This renewable energy facility is centred around an anaerobic digestion (AD) plant, where biogas is upgraded to biomethane before being injected into the national gas grid. A proportion of the gas is also used to fuel a 1.5 MW generator, producing enough renewable electricity to power more than 3,000 homes across Herefordshire. The site’s renewable energy also supplies an on-site canning line and multiple commercial chicken sheds, creating a highly efficient, self-sustaining operation.
